bad things happen to good people
just found out a family member of mine in melbourne was diagnosed with cancer and she hasn't got that long to live. sounds like phrase from a movie doesn't it? but nope. it's reality, and i never actually thought i would say those words, ever, but i did. thanks mum for breaking the news to me on chinese new years.
she was one of the really nice aunts too, oh and trust me, there's very few of them. even mai met her when we went to melbourne (which was like 3 years ago) and she made us those asian heart waffles and told us to go sell them when we go back to adelaide. aw, good times.
oddly enough, i donated money toward's vincent's "be shave and brave" cancer foundation just this morning. and now this. at that time i was like 'why not donate? it's for a good cause and plus vincent might even shave his eyebrows!' i also remember thinking that i would hate to have someone i know be diagnosed with cancer. woop-dee-doo. i am so much more glad that i've donated, since it might make that much of a difference to someone else before it's too late.
all in all, maybe there will be a miracle. i really would like to witness one. i guess i'll just have to keep on praying, wont i? :) must go melbourne soon. save money. save money.
